The science is profitable because Vastu is said to bring peace and harmony to the workers of a company. Its balance of the cosmic energy brings positive energy to flow through the working location thus improving its output. For this very reason, the ever-growing trend in recent times is to construct offices according to Vastu Shastra.
Several factors are considered including the location of the office, its building in terms of shape, slope space available for the reception and the various departments. Even the location of the electronic gadgets is considered.
The shape of the office is best if it is square or rectangular. The building should be of equal height in all directions. No hospital, temple or a graveyard should be found in the vicinity of the location of the office.
The placement of the furniture is also given much importance. Beginning with money matters, the safe is really considered safe if it is placed facing the North. The North should be kept free of heavy furniture like shelves, racks and almiras. The office entrance should not be facing a blank wall. Windows and doors should be placed in the east and north direction. No door of the office should have any hindrance to its opening fully
The reception counter should be in the northeast part of the office with the receptionist facing the east or north direction. The southern, southwestern and western directions are best for seating the highest officials of the company. The company owner does well with a rectangular table. For financial gains, the accounts department should be placed in the southeast zone. The middle class of staff should be seated in the eastern and northern zones; the field staff does best in the northwestern part of the office. All staff performs best when seated in the eastern and northern directions. Always keep the central zone of all offices vacant. No employee should be positioned under a beam. If it cannot be avoided, a wooden board should cover it up. The performance of the marketing department is improved if it is placed in the northwest direction.
The pantry of the office is perfect in the northwest or the southeast zone. The toilets are appropriate in the southwest or northeast direction. The water bodies like the aquarium, a fountain or the overhead water tank should be in the eastern or the northeast direction, though the location of the water tank is better in the eastern direction. Tube well or a boring for the office should be in any direction except the south. This is because if the tube well or even an underground tank or pit is placed in the south direction, it adversely affects the finance of the office. An aquarium with nine gold and one black fish is considered beneficial to the company. Gadgets like the telephone with its side tables should be in the southwest corner.
